About the College
When it comes to a college education, students should have exciting choices for courses, degrees, and related learning experiences. NKU's College of Arts & Sciences satisfies these needs through disciplinary and interdisciplinary programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
The largest college on campus, Arts & Sciences consists of 13 departments. In total, A&S offers four masters' degrees, 27 bachelor's degrees, two associate degrees and several undergraduate and graduate certificates.
The college offers degrees in fine arts, humanities, mathematics, natural sciences, behavioral and social sciences and organizational leadership. At present, it has approximately 4,200 undergraduate and 200 graduate students enrolled in programs taught by 317 full-time and 275 adjunct faculty members.
In the last two years, the college opened the Haile Digital Planetarium, created the Department of World Languages and Literatures, started the Latino and Multicultural Center for Community Development and began offering a Master of Arts in English.
"Arts and Sciences is a diverse, multi-dimensional arena of study, which more than any other college, prepares students for their first job, their last job, and every other job in between," said Dr. Kevin Corcoran, dean of the college.
