Physics, Geology & Engineering Technology
We welcome you to explore the opportunities available in the Department of Physics, Geology & Engineering Technology at Northern Kentucky University. A bachelor's degree may be earned with a major in geology, physics, electronics engineering technology (EET), or mechanical and manufacturing engineering technology (MMET). Minors are available in geology, physics, or technology. Selected graduate courses, intended primarily for K-12 teachers, are also offered in astronomy, geology, and physics. Courses that satisfy the general education requirement in natural sciences are offered in astronomy, engineering technology, geology, and physics. Graduates from our programs pursue a variety of careers in industry, government and education.
Geologists are caretakers of the Earth's resources and environment. They work to understand how natural processes affect or daily lives. Our program offers B.S. & B.A. degrees as well as research opportunities & internships.
Engineering Technology is the study and application of concepts from mathematics and natural sciences used in the implementation and extension of existing or emerging technologies.
